Many volunteers choose to become tutors. Volunteer tutors work with individual learners from 1 to 5 hours a week. Our volunteer tutor program is an essential services offlered through ACALA. If you wish to be a volunteer tutor, we’ll ask you what experience or training you already have teaching  and help you hone your skills in teaching adults. To the best of our ability, we match you with a learner you can work comfortably with. We take into consideration your subject preferences and time constraints.
